Montana
Roadways
-
I-94
- Running through eastern Montana is I-94. This interstate enters
eastern Montana in Wibaux County, and follows the route of the
Yellowstone River past Miles City and Forsyth. Just east of Billings,
I-94 connects to I-90.
-
I-90
- I-90 enters southeast Montana near the Rosebud Mountains, on the Crow
Indian Reservation. The interstate continues north until it reaches
Hardin, where it turns east. I-90 passes by most of Montana's major
population areas, including Billings, Bozeman, Butte, and Missoula.
-
I-15
- Interstate 15 is the major north/south route through Montana. This
interstate enters southern Montana in Beaverhead County. I-15 continues
north to I-90 (near Butte), where it merges onto I-90 to exits 227 and
129. At that point, I-15 continues north through Deerlodge National
Forest and into Helena. I-15 continues in a north/northeast direction
to Great Falls. At Great Falls, I-15 continues north to the US/Canada
border.
